work > writing

In October of 2012 I decided that instead of buying any more materials for art making, I would only work with the material I already have in my studio.

Since then I haven’t brought anything into the studio except for food and drink, what I wear, and my camera.

I work with what I have.

Now when I make, the challenge is to use and reuse what I have, to see the potential of things. My work is changing with the circumstances. What remains is that the camera brings all parts together, flattened into a single reality.

Over time the act of over-painting and disassembling these things I create, has in itself become a valuable part of my practice.

Eventually this project will come to an end.
