"I Work With What I Have" is a stop motion animation that is a visual score. It creates a structure for improvised music and is projected with musicians performing live, responding to the score in the moment.
This piece collides composition and improvisation, we experience two different modes of creation simultaneously- the stop motion score that was created over the course of three years, and the improvised music that is created in response in the moment.
